Privacy policy

The short version
- No tracking, no analytics, no advertising, and no fonts or scripts from other companies.
- Your IP address is used only as a daily, salted hash to enforce the free limit, and that hash is deleted after three days.
- Screenshots are deleted after 7 days, shared pages after 90 days or when you stop sharing.
- Payments go through Stripe; we never see your card details.
When you visit the site
Our web server records technical access data (IP address, time, requested address, browser identification) to keep the service secure and working. These logs are deleted after 14 days at the latest. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure service, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
When you take screenshots
We process the addresses you enter, the settings you choose and the screenshots and videos our server makes. The pages you list may themselves show personal data; please only list pages you are allowed to photograph. To enforce the free limit we store a hash of your IP address combined with the date and a secret value, which cannot be turned back into your IP address. Legal basis: providing the service you asked for, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, and preventing misuse, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Packs and your account
When you buy a pack, Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin 2, Ireland) processes the payment. We receive your email address, the amount and the pack, but no card or bank details. Stripe may process data in the USA under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; see stripe.com/privacy. We keep purchase records for seven years as required by Austrian tax law (§ 132 BAO). Your account is a random private key that we only store in hashed form, together with your credits and email address. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR.
Cookies
We set one cookie, as_key, and only when you buy a pack or open your private link. It keeps you signed in to your credits and is strictly necessary for the service you asked for, so no consent banner is needed. There are no other cookies.
If you write to us, we use your message only to answer it and delete it when it is no longer needed.
Hosting
App Shots runs on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany, which processes data for us under a data processing agreement.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Write to armin.lanzinger@gmail.com. You may also complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at).
